Where do we park?
Comal Rockin R has limited parking at our store. When that fills up we have a park and ride lot just a few blocks away.
Where is the park and ride parking located?
Directions-from Rockin R on Liberty- turn right on South St., right on Union St., left on Mather St. Located on the corner of Mather and Grant St. Call us at 830-620-6262 and we'll pick you up.
What should we bring?
Anything you bring with you will get wet. You need sunscreen, shoes that will get wet, a sun protection hat, beverage of your choice, (regulated amounts of alcohol is allowed) and we provide life jackets free of charge for every tube. Don't take anything with you that you don't want to lose. No Glass No Styrofoam
What do we need for deposit?
We accept any 2 of the following: Driver's license, car keys, (we take these so you don't lose them in the river. 42 keys were lost in 2010, and a locksmith called at an average of $100), credit card, or credit card signed imprint.
Is the Comal River as cold as the Guadalupe River?
Not at all. Because the Comal River is spring fed, the water is much more temperate than the Guadalupe, and provides a much more comfortable experience overall.
Is Alcohol allowed on the Comal River?
Under a few conditions, yes. Certain areas of the Comal River do not allow alcohol, including River Acres, Last Tubers Exit, Cypress Bend Park, Hinman Island, and Prince Solms Park. All coolers must have a locking mechanism, and are limited to a size of 16 quarts and one per person. Contact the city of New Braunfels for more information.
Can we make reservations?
Yes reservations are accepted with nonrefundable full payment in advance. A minimum of 24 hours advance notice is required. So make a reservation, avoid the lines and speed through the sign up process and you'll be on the water in no time!
